Managers Who are Also Employees
When you add a new manager, they are given a separate username and password to sign in as a manager.
Any manager who works shifts will also need to be added as an employee so that they can be assigned to shifts. They will then have two separate sign ins:
- Employee login: One username and password to sign in as an employee (if they want to propose trades or request time off, etc.)
This is where they can set their INFO page to allow other employees to see their contact information on the Staff List* and post shifts to the Tradeboard and set up employee email notification, ex. for then they are assigned to a new shift.
- Manager login: A second username and password to sign in and perform their permitted manager functions
*The Employee Staff List shows employee contact information (if the employee agrees to make their contact information visible to other employees). If managers have an employee login, they can sign in using their employee username and go to Change My Information. Under the phone number entry field, they can select “All employees can see my phone numbers” so that they’ll be listed beside your name (as an employee) on the Staff List.
If managers do not have an employee login and function only as a manager, their contact information will not be listed on the Staff List.
Instead, from the manager homepage, you can enter information that will appear as a note on the employee’s homepage every time they log in. You can post manager phone numbers there.
If you are a manager scheduled as an employee you can use your separate employee login to view only your own shifts and export to Google Calendar etc.
