You can add phone numbers in any format you like. This field is simply for display, so that others can see employee phone numbers for reference. The fastest way to enter them is on the EMPLOYEES> List page by clicking in the grid field.
When you add phone numbers into the ‘Cell Phone’ field, note that this does NOT impact our Notifications. In order to receive alerts on that cell phone, employees must sign in and set up their text addresses and notifications.
While managers can edit email notifications for employees (at EMPLOYEES > Notifications Grid), they cannot edit text notifications because so many cell phone providers charge by the text.
Both managers and employees can set up three kinds of notifications in our system: email, text and push notifications.
