Employees Sort Order

Change the Order that Employees are Displayed

The EMPLOYEES> Employee List page and some schedule views (ex. By Employee) sort and list employees by the last name field.

To change the sort order of employees, you can change the last name field to force the sort order. For example, if you put a leading space before an employee last name, that will put the employee at the top of the list.

Or you can use numbers to force the order – ex. 1-Smith, 2-Jones.

Note that the last name field is seen in some notifications and on the displays (ex Staff list).

Does an employee look out of sort order? Click to edit the employee and be sure there is not a leading space in front of their last name or be sure that the capitalization of the first letter is consistent for all employees.
