See open unassigned shifts

How can I see open (unassigned) shifts?

If you are a coordinator and want to view the unassigned shifts on the By Helper schedule view, you can click the “Change Layout” link in the upper left and choose the option to display unassigned shifts and then click Save.

To see list of unassigned shifts for any date range you can use the “Schedules” section ‘Search‘ feature to show all unassigned shifts for the date range option chosen.

Some schedule views (ex. Grid ViewSortable List and Multi-Shift Edit) allow you to use the “Include” dropdown to show a list of only unassigned shifts. The Search function also allows you to list unassigned shifts for certain date ranges.

Also you can run REPORTS on unassigned shifts for any date range using the “Unassigned Shift Details – General“.

If helpers are not seeing open shifts, check to be sure that option on your SETTINGS>Helper Permissions (Global Settings) page is set to allow helpers to see and pick up unassigned shifts. Also double check that the helpers is set to be allowed to work the proper positions (helpers can only see shifts for positions they can work).

If an helper is not seeing open shifts for positions they can work on the Tradeboard, have them check:

  • that they are looking at the correct week or month
  • that the week has been published

Also note that if you update options on your account, helpers who are currently logged in will need to sign out and back in to see the changes.
