{"id":984,"date":"2018-05-04T20:20:57","date_gmt":"2018-05-04T20:20:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/?page_id=984"},"modified":"2021-04-19T20:36:20","modified_gmt":"2021-04-19T20:36:20","slug":"h-urgent-text-alert","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-urgent-text-alert\/","title":{"rendered":"Send an URGENT ALERT &#8211; To Text, Email &#038; In-App Push"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WhenToWork provides a method for managers to send out an urgent alert to employees&#8217; and managers&#8217; email, text or in-app push notices.<\/p>\n<p>Each employee and manager must sign in and set which email, text message address and push notice will receive these alerts (or the manager can set this up for employees).<\/p>\n<p>Note that urgent alerts are NOT sent to the employee &#8220;cell phone number&#8221; field that you may have entered. Text addresses must be set up separately in the <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-email-notific\/h-email-notifcations\/\">Employee Notifications\u00a0section<\/a> and each employee must first enter their validation code that is texted to them when it is first added before any urgent alerts or texts notices are sent.<\/p>\n<h2>To send an urgent alert to those who have set up that notification:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Hover over\u00a0<strong>MESSAGING<\/strong>\u00a0in the top menu and choose\u00a0<strong>Send Urgent Alert<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The Urgent Alert page will show the number of users who are signed up to receive these alerts next to each group<\/li>\n<li>Type the alert text up to 150 characters and be sure to include your name in the message so they know who it is from<\/li>\n<li>Choose who to send the alert to<\/li>\n<li>Check the box to send a copy to your own email or text address which also will include a list of recipients<\/li>\n<li>Click the\u00a0<strong>Send<\/strong>\u00a0button and the alert is sent to all users who have chosen to receive them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4935\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"645\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert-300x276.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you do not see the checkbox to send a copy to yourself, be sure that you have set up your email and\/or text address notifications to include Urgent Alerts on your <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-settings\/h-my-notifications\/\"><strong>SETTINGS&gt; My Notifications<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>page.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert1.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4936\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"524\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert1.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssurgentalert1-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"extrawords\">How do I get copied on my urgent txt alerts create a custom text message to the group assigned to an account number SEND TEXT ALERTS TO SELECTED EMPLOYEES sending urgent message<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WhenToWork provides a method for managers to send out an urgent alert to employees&#8217; and managers&#8217; email, text or in-app push notices.
