DATE SPECIFIC preference always override the REPEATING preferences.<\/p>\n<p>On the Employee Details&gt;Schedules Prefs tab you will see the date background\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: #d9d2e9;\">shaded<\/span>\u00a0on days that have DATE SPECIFIC preferences overriding the REPEATING WEEKLY preferences (See Wed. preferences). In this example, June 6 has been set as different than Repeating and is set to Prefer All Day, so matter how the REPEATING WEEKLY are set that will override.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssdatespecoverride.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4931\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssdatespecoverride.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"584\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssdatespecoverride.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/ssdatespecoverride-300x250.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To change a date specific preference, click the shaded date or click the Set DATE SPECIFIC PREFERENCES button in the bottom left.<\/p>\n<p>Normally, employees enter their own Work Time Preferences (which can be used when you AutoFill) but if managers edit the preferences for an employee, they need to be aware that:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>REPEATING WEEKLY preferences should be added first<\/li>\n<li>Then any DATE SPECIFIC preferences can be added if a particular date is different<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"extrawords\">preferences not saving showing incorrect,\u00a0\u00a0issues setting specific availability\u00a0 problems not sticking, changes not saving<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why are the employee work time preferences not displaying correctly when making changes?
