Each employee can be set up with a default pay rate and\/or multiple pay rates per position. This dollar and cents amount can be used to calculate approximate cost on some schedule views (ex. Statistics view) by multiplying this field by the hours scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>Only\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-settings\/h-edit-mgr\/\">managers with permission<\/a>\u00a0can see employee pay rates. Only the Main Manager can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-settings\/h-add-mgr\/\">add Managers<\/a>\u00a0and set whether each can see pay rates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Employees cannot see their own or anyone else&#8217;s pay rate.<\/p>\n<h2>To Add Pay Rates for Employees<\/h2>\n<p>From any page:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the top menu, hover over\u00a0<strong>EMPLOYEES<\/strong>\u00a0and choose\u00a0<strong>Pay Rates Grid<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>You can set the first column\u00a0&#8220;<strong>DEFAULT PAY RATE<\/strong>&#8221;\u00a0for each employee by clicking in that field.<\/li>\n<li>If a specific Position is at a different rate, enter the rate there (if the field is marked with &#8216;&#8211;&#8216; that means the employee is not set to work that Position)<\/li>\n<li>Make all the changes and click the\u00a0<strong>Save<\/strong>\u00a0button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/1-Pay-Rates.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3802 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/1-Pay-Rates.png\" alt=\"pay rates employees\" width=\"700\" height=\"612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/1-Pay-Rates.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/1-Pay-Rates-300x262.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"red\"><strong>OR<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Click the\u00a0<strong>pencil icon\u00a0<img class=\"noborder alignnone wp-image-1735 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/icon_pencil.png\" alt=\"pencil icon\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/><\/strong>\u00a0next to the employee name to open their Optional Position Settings window\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Add\/Change the pay rates for the employee\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Click the\u00a0<strong>Save<\/strong>\u00a0button<\/li>\n<li>When you return to the employee pay rate grid, it will be updated with the newly entered information\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"extrawords\">add payrates<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Using pay rates is optional.
