Import any previous week &#8220;as is&#8221; by choosing a date, or Import a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-importing-schedules\/h-create-sched-temp\/\">saved template<\/a>\u00a0by choosing a template name.<\/p>\n<p>When Importing, you can check off to clear all the old work assignments and then\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-autofill\/\"><strong>AutoFill<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to get the best possible work assignments for the new week.<\/p>\n<p>When your schedule is ready you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-publishing\/\"><strong>Publish<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and you are done!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Note that by <strong>first <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-filtering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filtering your view<\/a><\/strong> to a certain position or category before clicking\u00a0<strong>Import<\/strong>,\u00a0you can Import only those particular shifts from the previous week or template.<\/p>\n<h2>To Create (or add shifts to) a Schedule using Import:<\/h2>\n<p>From any <strong>Weekly<\/strong> Schedule View:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the <strong>Week &gt;<\/strong> link to <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-firstsched\/h-navigate\/\">navigate<\/a>\u00a0to the new week you want to schedule<br \/>\n(Check that your Category and Position dropdowns are set to show &#8220;All&#8221; to import all Positions and\u00a0Categories from the template or week)<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Import<\/strong>\u00a0to open the Import window\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/ssimporta.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7826\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/ssimporta.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/ssimporta.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/ssimporta-300x189.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can Import any other week into the current week (by selecting the Week in the dropdown), or if you have saved templates, you can Import them by choosing the saved\u00a0 template name.<\/li>\n<li>Check the box to &#8220;Unassign all imported shifts&#8221; so that the assignments will be cleared when the shifts are brought in (or you can Import as assigned and then use the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-view-edit-sched\/h-clearing-deleting\/\">Clear<\/a> Function later)<\/li>\n<li>Click the\u00a0<strong>Import Week<\/strong>\u00a0button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You also can Import shifts for one day at a time by using the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-importing-schedules\/h-importing\/\">Import a Day<\/a>&#8221; in the bottom section of the Import window.<\/p>\n<p>Note: you can also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-sched-view-layouts\/h-filtering\/\">filter<\/a>\u00a0your view to a Position or Category before Importing to bring in only those shifts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"extrawords\">copy shift copy shifts how to copy shifts copy copy copy\u00a0 how to edit a schedule copy weekly duplicate\u00a0 carry shifts and employees over to the next week but I am not figuring out how to do it.
