Be sure you are on a weekly view that has\u00a0 UnPublished shifts. Your main manager<\/a> may not have set your permissions to allow you to AutoFill.<\/span><\/div>\n Once your shifts have been added (using\u00a0Add Shifts<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Import<\/a>), you can use AutoFill to automatically assign employees to open, unassigned shifts to achieve the best possible schedule for everyone in a matter of seconds. AutoFill must be done one week at a time and can only be done on unpublished shifts.<\/p>\n WhenToWork’s AutoFill feature uses advanced mathematic algorithms to determine the best possible schedule for that week and automatically assigns employees to shifts based on\u00a0approved time off<\/a>, employee\u00a0work time preferences<\/a>,\u00a0minimum time off between shifts<\/a>, and any employee\u00a0maximum shifts\/hours\/days<\/a>\u00a0you have set (You also can choose to AutoFill based on\u00a0Priority Group<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Seniority<\/a>).<\/p>\n On any Weekly Schedule view with UnPublished\u00a0 shifts:\u00a0<\/p>\n This will assign the best employee to each shift and optimize the schedule so that it is the best for everyone.\u00a0<\/p>\n When AutoFill is complete, a window will appear that shows the new statistics for that AutoFilled week<\/a>.<\/p>\n These statistics can also be accessed at any time by changing the Schedule View to “Statistics<\/a>.”<\/p>\n If you imported some shifts as assigned, you can see how those shift assignments compare to the most current employee work time preferences and\u00a0minimum time off between shifts<\/a>, etc. using the\u00a0ANALYZE shifts function on the Grid view<\/a>.<\/p>\n You can even\u00a0Clear<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0the AutoFilled assignments and\u00a0AutoFill<\/strong>\u00a0again to get slightly different assignments. Because AutoFill starts with a random ordering, if employee preferences or availability are similar, our scheduling engine tries to randomize the assignments as much as possible.
