Import any previous week &#8220;as is&#8221; by choosing a date or Import a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-importing-schedules\/h-create-sched-temp\/\">saved template<\/a>\u00a0by choosing a template name.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-importing-schedules\/h-importing\/\">Import<\/a>, clearing the work assignments (and then use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-auto-assign\/\">AutoFill<\/a>\u00a0to get the best assignments for the new week based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-let-emps-signin\/h-emp-prefs\/\">employee work time preferences<\/a>), or you can Import and leave the assignments the same.<\/p>\n<div href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-auto-assign\/\">AutoFill<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to assign any open shifts if needed, or you can always click a shift and see a list of who is available and you can choose an employee and click\u00a0<strong>Save<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) &#8211;<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-analyze\/\">ANALYZE Shifts<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to see how the imported assignments compare to employee\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-let-emps-signin\/h-emp-prefs\/\">work time preferences<\/a>\u00a0and other constraints such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-sched-view-layouts\/h-overtime\/\">maximum hour<\/a>s\/shift per day\/week\u00a0and make any\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-making-sched-change\/\">adjustments to the shifts<\/a>\u00a0as needed.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-publishing\/\">Publish<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0the schedule to email it to employees and make it available to them online and allow them to trade shifts if you have set that on your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-settings\/h-co-settings-emp-perm\/\"><strong>SETTINGS<\/strong>&gt; <strong>Global Employee Permissions<\/strong><\/a> page<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note that for AutoFill to work properly, you will need to review the AutoFill Maximums on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-emp-view-edit\/h-edit-emp-det\/\">Employee List Grid<\/a>\u00a0and make any necessary changes in their max hours\/shifts per day\/week. The default is set to 40 hours and you will want to <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-paid-hours\/\">be sure your shift paid hours (durations) are correct<\/a> and reflect any unpaid break times.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-auto-sched-week\/h-analyze\/\">ANALYZE<\/a> feature can be used on current or future weeks to check how the shift assignments compare to the current work time preferences and constraints you have set, so you can use the second approach above of keeping the assignments intact and then use Analyze to check for any conflicts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"extrawords\">move the unassigned shifts I have already built into a week<br \/>\nschedule pretty much stays the same each week and it would be nice to have it autogenerate.<br \/>\nwork time preferences, same assignments, keep assignments, same schedule\u00a0 copy and paste a week shifts\u00a0 create next month schedule create next month schedule\u00a0 generate schedule\u00a0 create schedule<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Ways to Create a New Schedule Once you have\u00a0entered your first schedule, it is easy to create new schedules using the\u00a0Import\u00a0function.
