You can always add more positions or <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-positions\/h-edit-positions\/\">change your positions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-emp-view-edit\/h-emp-positions-grid\/\">set which employees can work them<\/a>.. While you can add positions from a number of places we recommend you do it from the Positions Grid page so that you can then set which employees can work the new positions there also.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/09\/ssaddpositions.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4505\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/09\/ssaddpositions.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/09\/ssaddpositions.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/09\/ssaddpositions-300x172.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>To Add a New Position<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In the top menu, choose <strong>EMPLOYEES&gt; Positions Grid<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Add \/ Edit Positions button<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Type a new Position and click the <strong>Add<\/strong> button (the new name will appear in the list on the right)<br \/>\n<em>(Position Missing? &#8211; if a manager has chosen to set up a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/sort-order-of-positions\/\">custom sort order<\/a>&#8221; then new positions appear at the bottom of the list) and you can manually sort them<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Continue adding positions and click <strong>Close<\/strong> when done<\/li>\n<li>Refresh the page when you are done so that the new positions will appear in your list (Ctrl F5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>After adding positions, you can set which employees can work these new positions in the grid on that same page Positions Grid:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-emp-view-edit\/h-emp-positions-grid\/\">\u2192More<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-positions\/h-edit-positions\/\"><strong>EDIT Positions<\/strong><\/a> (jobs) to change the way the position label\/name displays on all schedules<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-positions\/h-delete-positions\/\"><strong>DELETE Positions<\/strong><\/a> (jobs) if you make a mistake and enter an unnecessary position you want to completely remove (main manager only).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"extrawords\">how do I add positions positions positions Positions Positions Positions<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When you first signed into your trial account, you entered positions and employees.
