You can set whether or not your employees can use the Tradeboard on your\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-let-emps-signin\/f-see-emp-schedule\/\">SETTINGS&gt; Employee Permissions<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0page. Tradeboard settings are global, and cannot be applied to only certain positions or employees.<\/p>\n<p>The Tradeboard allows employees to work with each other to sort out conflicts in their work assignments. You can allow employees to either trade &#8220;At Will&#8221; or &#8220;With Manager Approval&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Tradeboard can also show any unassigned (open) shifts if you choose that option on your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-let-emps-signin\/f-see-emp-schedule\/\"><strong>SETTINGS<\/strong>&gt;Global Employee Permissions<\/a>\u00a0page. Employees (or managers for the employee) can set whether employees are automatically\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-email-notific\/h-email-notifcations\/\">notified<\/a>\u00a0when a shift that they can work is added to the Tradeboard.<\/p>\n<p>You can also see which shifts are on the Tradeboard or are pending manager approval on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-by-emp-drag-drop\/\">By Employee<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-cal-weekly-view\/\">Calendar<\/a> Schedule Views.<\/p>\n<p>Each employee&#8217;s recent Tradeboard activity can be seen on their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/h-sub-emp-view-edit\/h-view-emp-det\/\">Employee details<\/a>\u00a0page, Schedules-Prefs tab.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/sstradeboard.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4941\" src=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/sstradeboard.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"763\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/sstradeboard.png 700w, https:\/\/when2work.com\/help\/mgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/10\/sstradeboard-275x300.png 275w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When employees sign in and view the Tradeboard, they only are shown shifts for the Positions you have allowed them to work. <br \/>\nEmployees can also do &#8220;private trades&#8221; between themselves without posting shifts to the Tradeboard.<\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%; vertical-align: top; height: 1846px;\" border=\"1;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"background-color: #ccd1e3;\">\n<td style=\"width: 50%; height: 47px;\" colspan=\"2\"><strong>&#8220;Private&#8221; Shift Trade<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 23.6267%; text-align: center; height: 47px;\"><strong>At Will<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 26.3733%; text-align: center; height: 47px;\"><strong>With Manager Approval<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"vertical-align: top;\">\n<td style=\"width: 25%; height: 332px;\">John signs in and clicks one of Jane&#8217;s shifts and suggests a trade for one of his specific shifts. A message is sent privately to Jane making a trade proposal (and Jane will see a link to the new trade offer on her home page when she signs in)<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 25%; height: 332px;\">Jane signs in and clicks to agree to the trade. A message is sent to John that she agrees.\u00a0<br \/>\n(If Jane refuses the trade a message is sent to John informing him)<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 23.6267%; height: 332px;\">Shifts are automatically changed in the schedule.<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 26.3733%; height: 332px;\">Manager is notified of the pending trade by email, text, in-app push and on their &#8220;What&#8217;s New&#8221; section. He posts his shift to the Tradeboard and indicates he wants to &#8220;<strong>trade only<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 25%; height: 379px;\">Jane signs in and clicks John&#8217;s shift on the Tradeboard and offers one of her shifts in trade for his.\u00a0The shift is removed from the Tradeboard\u00a0and a message is sent to John asking him if he agrees to the proposed trade.\u00a0<br \/>\nJohn signs in and agrees to the trade.
